The world’s first fully demountable football stadium is an astonishing achievement. Favourites for the tournament are, unsurprisingly, Brazil, with France, Spain, and England next in the bookmaker’s order.

With many observers considering the choice of Qatar a controversial one for such an important tournament, it nevertheless offers a choice of exciting and innovative stadiums that rank among the most modern in the world.
