The 2026 World Cup is just around the corner, and tickets are finally starting to roll out! With fans being given their first opportunity to secure seats for football’s biggest and most prestigious tournament, here’s everything you need to know about the ticket sales process.

The first phase of ticket sales officially began on September 10th 2025, and is currently in its final stretch. Being offered exclusively to Visa cardholders, members have until September 19th to register their interest in purchasing tickets. Those who are selected in a random draw will then be given a specific time slot throughout October until the 21st to purchase tickets. One important thing to mention however is that registering interest does not guarantee a ticket, with luck being the determining factor.

Once the Visa-exclusive phase ends, the second phase will begin. Similar to phase one, you will be able to register your interest in purchasing tickets and be placed in a lottery for the opportunity to do so. This time, however, without the visa-only restriction, meaning anyone can sign up. This will take place in late October and is expected to last until early December, after which one final lottery draw will be held. Once this ends, any remaining tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

This tournament will also mark the debut of the tournament's use of the dynamic pricing system, where fixed ticket prices will now instead fluctuate based on real-time demand. Entry-level tickets will be expected to start around $60, but the most popular games such as the final are expected to surge to $6730 or even more.

With 104 matches in 16 host cities and a record-breaking 6.5 million fans expected to attend, the 2026 World Cup is set to be the biggest in the competition’s history. Matches will take place across Canada, Mexico, and the United States, giving you lots of opportunities to witness the best players from top teams across the continent's most iconic venues.
